Within a relatively short time, he was acknowledged in the Jewish world as a great leader and posek. After he served as Rav of Seltz and then Pruzhin, in 1873 he was appointed to serve as Rav in Minsk, capital of White Russia. Many of his responsa were published in the sefer Ohr Gadol. It traces the Gadol’s career and his development from early childhood, and includes fascinating insights on Chassidus, the Mussar movement, and haskalah.

Product Details

Field

Value

Author

Rabbi Shlomo Slonim

Publisher

Feldheim Publishers

ISBN

9781680256567

Category

History, Biography, Holocaust

Language

English

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0534/9765/9560/files/unnamed_f07d008e-7f6f-4af8-a2df-a632300970d3.jpg?v=1781048500
