The best children's Judaica doesn't look like children's Judaica — it looks like real Judaica, scaled down. A real silver tzedakah box (small). A proper woolen tallis katan (boys' size). A leather-bound siddur (junior size). Because kids know the difference between toys and the real thing, and they grow to love the real thing.

Parsha books: start with the ArtScroll Youth Chumash (Lev Eliyahu), or the Junior Mesilas Yesharim, or the Brachfeld Chumash for little kids. Short weekly parsha stories: Chinuch for kids, Parsha Time with the Gedolim. Our kids' seforim section has hundreds of titles by age.

Toy menorahs and dreidel sets let them act out Chanukah from before they can walk. We stock everything from felt menorahs (safe for toddlers) to wooden chanukiah with real candles for older kids.

Tzitzis for boys: order 2-3 pairs. Our boys' tzitzis start at size 14 (toddlers) and go up to size 40 (bar mitzvah prep). Pick cotton or mesh — more comfortable for active kids than wool.

Yarmulkes in velvet, suede, and knit, in every size from baby (6 cm) to adult. Knit kippot are best for younger boys because they grip hair better.

Kids' tehillim in soft-cover, large-print, or with pictures. Girls' tehillim are popular with illustrated tefilos for daily needs.

At what age should a boy start wearing tzitzis?

Most families start around age 3 at the upsherin, when hair is first cut. Some wait until age 5 or 6. Pick cotton or mesh for younger boys — more comfortable than wool.

What size yarmulke for a toddler?

Baby/toddler sizes are 4–6 inches. For ages 2-5, size 5 is typical. For ages 5-9, size 6. Our size chart shows measurements with photos.

What Jewish books are best for a 5-year-old?

Short parsha stories with color illustrations — the ArtScroll Parsha series (for ages 4-7), Gateway to the Parsha, and the Middos from the Parsha series.

Do you carry kosher toys for Yiddishe yomim tovim?

Yes — dreidel sets, toy menorahs, kid-safe sedarim, paper haggadahs for kids, and yom tov coloring books. Ours are all produced by frum publishers.

What's a good gift for a 3-year-old at his upsherin?

Tzitzis (size appropriate), a small tallit katan, a baby tehillim, a plush lion of Judah, a soft-book parshas hashavua. Popular combos for $40–$80.

Do you sell girls' tehillim?

Yes — girls' tehillim (with illustrated tefilos for daily needs, with soft pastel bindings) are popular gifts. Ages 6+ is typical.
