Tanach, Chumash & Nach Buying Guide

Choose the part of Tanach you need before comparing editions. A Chumash contains the Torah; a complete Tanach includes Torah, Neviim and Kesuvim. Individual Nach volumes are useful when a class or learning program focuses on one sefer.

Start with the text you need

• Tanach and Nach editions
• Chumashim and Torah
• Mikraos Gedolos
• Oz Vehadar Chumash editions
• School and yeshiva seforim

Match the edition

Compare Hebrew-only, translated and commentary editions. For school, use the exact publisher, commentary, volume and size on the book list: pagination can differ between editions. Check whether the listing is one volume or a complete set.
