A Time to Build, Rabbi Baruch Dov Braun (Hardcover)

Fascinating New Insights in the Torah

In modern times, the widespread rejection of tradition has left cultures across the world on the brink of collapse. Civilized society's foundational stones of religion, morality, and traditional family values have been irreverently tossed aside. A Time to Build articulates in clear and contemporary terms the timeless relevance of the Torah and its indispensable role as a blueprint for a decent, healthy, and enduring society. Now, more than ever, is "a time to build."

Rabbi Baruch Dov Braun is the rabbi of the Young Israel of Avenue J. He received his semichah from Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), where he was a member of the Wexner Kollel Elyon. He is also a dayan on a branch of the Manhattan Beth Din for Conversions. After receiving his semichah, Rabbi Braun earned a master's degree in social work from New York University's Silver School of Social Work, where he studied social policy and clinical psychology, and he currently provides psychotherapy in an outpatient mental health clinic. Rabbi Braun’s first book, A Time to Seek, elucidates the timeless truths of the Torah in contemporary terms. He lives with his wife and children.
