Alone with G-d Gabi Katz (Hardcover)

The Daily Journal of a Religious Lone Soldier

Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me.

Tehillim 23:4

“The army was not an easy experience, physically or mentally. Yet my entire service was a constant pursuit of recognition that everything is from Hashem. Everything that was thrown my way — whether it was with the rod or the staff — came from a place of love and was an opportunity for personal and communal growth.”

Alone with G-d is an abridged version of the daily journal entries of religious lone soldier Gabi Katz, through which he stayed in touch with family and friends during his years of service in the IDF.

You are invited to laugh, cry, and grow along with him as he makes his every day more meaningful and shares his unique experiences.

“The book eloquently provides a deep insight into the challenges and experiences of making aliyah and serving in the IDF as a religious soldier, balancing one’s religious beliefs with the strong demands of military life.”

—Rabbi Yehoshua Fass, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Nefesh B’Nefesh

“This beautiful book…is full of love for the Jewish People, the Torah, and the Land and State of Israel.”

—Rav Doron Perez, Executive Chairman, World Mizrachi Movement
