Description
An aluminum washing cup in a rich, glossy purple with an overlapping scale pattern across the body. It has curled, scroll-style handles and a footed pedestal base. A washing cup is used for netilat yadayim before eating bread and on waking. Water is poured from the cup over each hand in turn, usually two or three times per hand depending on family custom. The pedestal foot keeps it steady by the sink.
