Description
Shepsel was a little Jewish boy raised in a German home, until his foster father was killed fighting for the Third Reich and his foster mother handed him over to a death camp.
After the war he spent years in a brutal Stalinist orphanage. Reunited with his Jewish family, he did not know they were secretly keeping the Torah. Carmela Raiz tells his story, from Communist cruelty to rebirth in Jerusalem.
