Forty-four cups cover all eight nights with the shamash included.
Nothing is poured. You drop a cup into each branch, light the wick and the flame sits steady until the fuel is gone; the jelled fill does not slosh when the menorah is carried to a window. A travel kit ships free with the box — matches, a shamash candle, a card with the brochos, and nine rubber bases that let a cup stand on its own wherever you happen to be.
