The point of this shtender is that it goes with you. It folds flat and small enough to fit in a pocket or a coat, so a seat in a strange beis medrash, a hotel room, or the back of a simcha hall becomes a place you can actually learn. Open it, set the angle, and put your sefer on it.
It adjusts, so you are not stuck with one fixed pitch. Raise it for reading upright, lower it for writing, and change it again when you switch from a small sefer to a larger one. The whole thing weighs very little, which is the tradeoff it makes deliberately: this is a travel shtender, not a heavy floor model.
