Description
The Black Yellow Mosaic Kippah is a geometric-print cotton yarmulke for boys and men, sold in 8 sizes at $9.99. Straight white and pale grey lines slice across a black base, and some of the triangles and wedges between them are filled with lemon yellow or light grey, like a shattered stained-glass window. The edge has a thin black binding. The yellow is bright, so the print reads as energetic and modern. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mosaic – Black Yellow (this one) | Printed cotton, black base | Year-round | Casual | Sharp, angular geometry with bright yellow |
| Spotlight Kippah – Blue Yellow Cotton Yarmulke | Printed cotton, blue base | Spring and summer | Casual | Yellow dots on blue, softer and rounder |
| Paint Splatter Kippah – Black Cotton Yarmulke | Printed cotton, black base | Year-round | Casual | A black base with loose white splatter |
Best for
- Boys who like bold, modern graphics
- Sports fans whose team wears black and yellow
- School trips, camp and casual Shabbos afternoons
- Pairing with a yellow or grey T-shirt
Not the right choice if
- A dark, formal kippah
- Anyone who finds yellow too bright
- Domed sizes above 6
- A soft or floral look
Why customers choose it
Where the splatter prints are loose and random, the mosaic is all straight lines and hard angles. The yellow fills give it punch, and the grey and white lines keep it from looking like a warning sign. It is a strong pick for boys who like black-and-yellow team colours or geometric art.
Size guide
| Size | Typical fit |
|---|---|
| 1 | Toddler, roughly 2–3 years |
| 2 | Young child, roughly 4–5 years |
| 3 | Child, roughly 6–7 years |
| 4 | Older child, roughly 8–10 years |

| 6 | Larger adult head |
| 16cm Flat | Flat style, 16 cm across — typically child |
| 18cm Flat | Flat style, 18 cm across — typically teen to adult |
Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
What does the mosaic pattern look like?
Straight white and grey lines crossing a black base, with some of the shapes filled in lemon yellow or pale grey, like broken stained glass.
Is the yellow bright?
Yes, it is a clear lemon yellow that stands out strongly against the black.
Is there a softer yellow and blue option?
The Blue Yellow Spotlight Kippah uses yellow dots on blue for a rounder, calmer pattern.
What sizes are offered?
Domed sizes 1 to 6 and flat cuts at 16 and 18cm.
Is it a boys' kippah only?
It is sized from toddler up to adult, so a teen or an adult who likes bold prints can wear it too.
