Description
The Cloud Cruisers Kippah is a cream cotton airplane-print yarmulke for boys, offered in 9 sizes at $9.99. Every panel is covered in small cartoon aircraft: red-and-white biplanes with propellers, round blue helicopters with spinning rotors, and white passenger jets with a red stripe along the fuselage. Each little craft is outlined in thin black line, which keeps the busy pattern crisp against the soft cream ground. The four panels meet at a plain seam, and the rim is a narrow band of the same printed cloth. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

Not the right choice if
- You need a dark, dressy kippah for Shabbos in a formal shul
- A school with a solid-colour or black-only kippah rule
- You want a subtle print; the aircraft are bright and close together
- You need a size 6; the domed sizes stop at 5
Why customers choose it
Most aviation kippot use dark navy grounds, which can look heavy on a small child. Cloud Cruisers flips that: a pale cream background lets the red biplanes and blue helicopters stand out, so the pattern reads clearly even from across a classroom. The drawings are rounded and friendly rather than technical, which suits younger boys. Having both domed sizes and flat sizes with clip loops lets parents choose whichever fit stays put on their son.

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of aircraft are in the Cloud Cruisers print?
Three kinds repeat across the panels: red biplanes with white wings, round blue helicopters and white passenger jets with a red stripe, all outlined in black.
How is this different from the navy Airplane Print kippah?
The navy version uses flat silhouettes of planes and helicopters on a dark background. Cloud Cruisers has outlined cartoon drawings on light cream, so it looks brighter and younger.
Which size should I order for a four-year-old?
Size 2 is the usual choice for a child of about four or five. If his head is on the larger side, go up to size 3.
What are the clip sizes for?
The 16 cm and 18 cm flat sizes come in a version with clip loops sewn inside, so a hair clip can hold the kippah in place on an active child.
Will the cream fabric show dirt?
Light fabric shows marks sooner than navy. Spot-clean with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then let it air dry flat.
Can his name be embroidered on it?
Yes. A name embroiders neatly on the cream cotton, with no minimum order. Allow 10 to 14 days plus shipping.
