Description
The Flipped Car Kippah is a four-panel pale blue cotton yarmulke printed with tumbling toy cars, offered in 7 sizes (dome 1 to 5 plus 16cm and 18cm flat) at $9.99. The little vehicles are drawn in navy and mid-blue outline: beetle-shaped cars, camper vans, pickup trucks and sedans. Many sit upright, but plenty are tipped sideways or turned upside down with their wheels in the air, which gives the print its name. Everything stays in the blue family, and the rim is a band of the same fabric. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

Why customers choose it
The joke in this print is small: among the neat rows of cars, some have flipped over with their wheels in the air. Kids notice it and like pointing them out. Keeping everything in shades of blue makes the kippah soft and easy to match with light shirts, which is why parents pick it for younger boys. The flat 16cm and 18cm sizes also let an older brother or father join in.

Frequently asked questions
Why is it called Flipped Car?
Some of the little cars in the print are drawn tipped over or upside down, wheels up, mixed in with upright ones.
What colours are in the print?
Only blues: navy and mid-blue cars outlined on a powder-blue background. There is no red, yellow or orange.
How does it compare with Cruise Control?
Cruise Control has upright, multicoloured cars on black. Flipped Car is lighter and softer, all in blue.
Is there a size 6?
No. Dome sizes run 1 to 5, plus 16cm and 18cm flat for teens and adults.
Is pale blue hard to keep clean?
It hides marks better than white or cream but more than navy. A damp cloth handles most spills.
