How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gone Camping (charcoal) (this one) | Printed cotton | Summer and autumn | Casual | A warmer red-and-green camping print |
| Gone Camping Kippah – Blue Cotton Yarmulke | Printed cotton | Summer | Casual | The same gear in cool blues, with more sizes |
| Grey Cotton Kippah / Yarmulke | Plain grey cotton | Year-round | Everyday | A plain grey with no print, for school |
Best for
- Younger boys heading to camp or a family trip
- A child who likes red and green more than blue
- Autumn outings, since the palette feels warm
- Hiding everyday dirt on a dark ground
Not the right choice if
- Teens or men; the largest size is 5 and there are no flat sizes
- A toddler under about 2
- Shabbos or formal wear
- Someone who wants the cooler blue palette
Why customers choose it
The charcoal colourway takes the same camping and fishing gear as the blue version and warms it up with red life jackets, green lanterns and orange fish. The dark grey ground hides the grime of a camp summer. It is aimed at younger boys, with sizes 1 to 5 only, and the teal lining with the design name printed inside makes it easy to tell apart from a brother's kippah.

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
What colours are on the grey camping kippah?
Mostly red and green, with cream, orange and grey accents, all on a charcoal background.
What sizes does it come in?
Dome sizes 1 to 5 only, roughly age 2 through the early teens. There are no flat sizes and no size 6.
How is it different from the blue Gone Camping kippah?
The motifs match, but blue uses cool sky blue and tan and also comes in size 6 and 16cm flat. This one is warmer and stops at size 5.
What is inside?
A teal lining printed with the size number, the iKippah logo and the words Gone Camping.
Does charcoal show dirt?
Less than light colours. The dark ground and busy print hide small marks well.
