Description
The Light Blue Denim Kippah is a four-panel cotton denim yarmulke for men and boys, offered in 11 sizes at $9.99, in a choice of three washes. The light wash is a faded sky-blue twill with the diagonal weave clearly visible and a narrow rim cut from the same denim. The mid blue option is a shade deeper and dustier, closer to a well-worn pair of jeans. The third option keeps the mid wash but adds paired tan topstitching along each of the four seams and around the rim, so the seams read like the double stitching on jeans. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

Best for
- Summer Shabbos afternoons and camp, where dark velvet feels heavy
- Wearing with jeans, chinos or a light blue shirt
- Families who want matching father-and-son kippot across a wide size run
- Anyone who wants to choose between a clean wash and a stitched, jeans-style finish
Not the right choice if
- Your shul or school expects a black or dark kippah
- You want a dressy look for a wedding or formal simcha
- You need the stitched option in every size; its stock runs thinner
- You want one exact shade; the three washes differ noticeably in person
Why customers choose it
Light denim is the rare kippah that looks relaxed on purpose. The fabric is sturdy cotton twill, so the four panels hold a clean shallow dome and the rim does not wave or curl. Having three washes to choose from lets a family buy a pale one for a younger son and the deeper, tan-stitched version for a father, and still look like a set. It is a weekday and summer kippah first, and it earns its keep there.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the three washes offered?
The light denim is the palest, faded blue. The mid blue is a deeper dusty shade. The mid wash with double tan stitching adds paired tan thread lines along every seam and around the rim.
How many panels does this denim kippah have?
Four wedge-shaped panels meeting at the crown, sewn with a narrow rim cut from the same denim.
Is the light denim kippah appropriate for shul?
It works well for weekday davening, camp and casual Shabbos settings. For a formal shul, a wedding or a yeshiva with a dress code, a dark velvet or dark cotton kippah is the safer choice.
Which flat size fits an adult?
The flat cuts run from 15 cm to 20 cm across. Most teens and men wear 18 cm; the 20 cm flat suits a larger head, and 15 to 16 cm suits boys.
How should I clean a denim yarmulke?
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it dry flat. Soaking or tumble-drying can pull the panels out of shape.
Can I get a name embroidered on the light denim?
Yes. Names and dates stitch clearly on light denim, with no minimum order. Allow 10 to 14 days plus shipping.
