Description
The Soccer Dov Bear Kippah in white mesh is a bright summer yarmulke for boys, embroidered with a soccer-playing bear and made in 10 sizes at $9.99. Four panels of white athletic mesh with small oval openings form a light, open dome. On the front, Dov Bear wears a white number 18 jersey with navy and red trim, navy shorts and a navy cap, and a black-and-white ball rolls at his feet. The rim is a white mesh band. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soccer Dov Bear – White Mesh (this one) | White mesh | Summer, very airy | Casual, sporty | A bright, summery soccer kippah |
| Soccer Dov Bear Kippah – Navy Mesh Yarmulke | Navy mesh | Spring and summer, airy | Casual, sporty | The same soccer bear on navy, which hides dirt |
| Soccer Dov Bear Kippah – Light Blue Denim Yarmulke | Light blue denim | Spring and summer | Casual | The soccer bear on a closed, pale denim |
Best for
- Summer camp and hot-weather soccer
- Boys who want the bear to pop on a light background
- White Shabbos shirts in summer, for families that allow character kippot
- Brothers pairing white and navy versions of the same bear
Not the right choice if
- Rough outdoor play if you do not want to clean it often; white shows dirt
- Formal events where a velvet or suede kippah is expected
- Boys who need a flat larger than 18cm
- Anyone who wants a closed fabric with no holes
Why customers choose it
White mesh is the lightest-looking kippah in the Dov Bear sports range, and the navy-and-red soccer kit stands out clearly against it. It suits hot summer days and boys who dress in light colours. If dirt is a concern, the same bear comes on navy mesh.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same bear as the navy mesh soccer kippah?
Yes. Both carry the same embroidered soccer bear in a number 18 jersey; this version is on white mesh instead of navy.
Does white mesh get dirty quickly?
White shows grass and dust more than navy. Spot clean it soon after play and let it dry flat.
Can it be worn on Shabbos?
Families who allow character kippot often like white for summer Shabbos. For a formal shul, choose a plain dark kippah.
Are clip versions offered?
Yes. The 16cm and 18cm flat sizes each come with or without clips.
Which size fits a toddler?
Size 1 is the smallest and suits most toddlers and young boys. The size table below gives measurements.
