Niddah is the last masechta of Shas and one of the most technical, dealing with the laws of taharas hamishpachah and ritual purity. It is not material to skim, and the Hebrew elucidation running with the text is what lets a person hold the thread of an intricate sugya on a train platform rather than only at a shtender.

Daf Yomi learners are the natural buyers, but so is anyone who wants a Gemara in a coat pocket. At this price a person can carry the current volume and leave the full-size Gemara permanently at home.
