The interlinear idea, in ArtScroll's own words, is that "your eyes never budge from the Hebrew word" - the English translation runs beneath each Hebrew word instead of across the page, so comprehension costs you nothing in place-keeping. Over a full Yom Kippur that difference compounds.

This is the pocket-size Sefard set: five volumes for the Yamim Noraim and the Shalosh Regalim, each at 4.00 x 6.00 inches. Pocket size is a deliberate choice, not a compromise. A machzor this size goes to shul in a tallis bag, travels to a yeshivah minyan or a family Yom Tov in another city, and is held comfortably in one hand while standing for a long chazaras hashatz.

The binding is hand-tooled Yerushalayim leather in navy - the tooled border and the deep navy are what put this set at the top of ArtScroll's machzor range. It is meant to be an heirloom object as much as a working machzor, and it ages the way good leather does.
