Description
A rare collection of stories about rebbeim and Roshei Yeshivos in the old world of Europe as told my their former talmidim. This book includes fascinating anecdotes that portray the lives of Jews in the small towns of Europe, describing the way of life that permeated through the yeshiva world of a past era. Compiled from dozens of private interviews, this book soars back in time, giving the reader a taste of what life was like. These stories speak of the heart and soul of the legendary yeshivos that nurtured the distinguished individuals who went on to become the crown of Am Yisrael. They provide a glimse of the methods employed in Torah learning and mussar while allowing the reader some insight into the foundations that produced today's Roshei Yeshivos and Talmidei Chachamim. This first volume of a projected series includes hundreds of pictures, many of which are published for the first time.
