Carl lunged at Mike at lightning speed, knocking him to the floor. He pressed his gun to Mike’s temple.
“Drop your weapons,” Carl ordered Mike’s men, “or I’ll shoot your commander.”
They looked at Mike questioningly, knowing their lives were worth nothing to him; the mission was worth much more. “Don’t surrender,” he ordered them in a clear voice.
Carl saw the way their eyes stayed locked on their commander. Without a moment’s hesitation Carl pulled the trigger.

Yanai Shir, an IDF veteran who served in one of its most elite combat units, is now a baal teshuvah, fully immersed in Torah studies. The Shin Bet recruits him for a mission that only he can accomplish, and he very reluctantly agrees. Afterward, he has no choice but to play a pivotal role in yet another mission to protect Eretz Yisrael, one that is far more dangerous and complex.
