Description
An original hamsa necklace by Michal Golan, a jewelry artist based in New York City. The 1.5-inch hand is set with purple amethyst and iridescent abalone shell and finished in 24k gold electroplate over brass. It hangs on a chain that adjusts from 16 to 20 inches.
The hamsa, also called the hand of Miriam, is a palm-shaped symbol worn in Jewish and other Middle Eastern traditions as a sign of protection.
