Description
Massachusetts Judaica artist Emily Rosenfeld combines Mexican folk-art motifs with the hamsa on this sterling silver pendant. A fringe of small diamond-shaped sterling drops hangs from the bottom edge and moves as you wear it. The pendant is light enough for everyday wear and comes on a patinated sterling silver chain.
The hamsa, also called the hand of Miriam, is a palm-shaped symbol worn in Jewish and other Middle Eastern traditions as a sign of protection.
