Folding Menorah Stand, 20" Height
Twenty inches of height and a 16" x 12" top — enough surface to take a full-size oil menorah with its glass shield and still leave room for the oil, the wicks and the matches beside it.
The height is chosen for windowsills that sit low, or for lifting the menorah above a radiator or a table edge where it is not safe. Twenty inches puts the flames where they can be seen from the street without putting them level with a child’s face.
It folds. That is the practical argument for it: the stand goes up on the first night, comes down after Zos Chanukah and slides behind a closet door for eleven months instead of taking up floor space all year.
