Gartel Bag, 8 x 8 Square Malchut Design #2006

A square pouch in design #2006, measuring approximately 8 by 8 inches. It is one of the simpler numbers in the range, and that is the point — not every man wants a heavily worked gartel bag sitting alongside a heavily worked tallis bag, and a quieter design gives the set some balance.

The function is the same regardless of pattern. A gartel goes in rolled and comes out rolled, without the creases it picks up when it is stuffed into a corner of a tallis bag under a siddur. Eight by eight is the working size for a standard gartel, and the square profile sits flat against the side of a bag rather than bulging out of it.
