Description
The Black Diamond Kippah is a black woven yarmulke with a cream-and-gold diamond lattice, offered in 9 sizes at $9.99. Fine dashed lines in cream cross each other diagonally to form a diamond grid, and a small gold-tan diamond sits in the centre of each one. The gold is woven thread with a matte finish, not metallic foil. The rim is cut from the same patterned fabric. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Black Diamond – Gold Lattice (this one) | Black woven fabric | Autumn and winter | Dressy | A patterned black kippah with a warm gold accent |
| Black Silver Pixel Kippah – Dress Yarmulke | Black suiting with silver | Year-round | Dressy | A black-and-silver pixel check with no gold |
| Black Smoke Squares Kippah – Patterned Yarmulke | Black suiting | Year-round | Smart | Small grey squares on black, a simpler dot pattern |
Best for
- Simchas and yom tov with a black or charcoal suit
- Men who want pattern without shine
- A gold tie or gold cufflinks
- Winter weddings
Not the right choice if
- A plain black dress code
- Someone who dislikes gold tones
- Casual summer wear
- Anyone who wants a metallic sparkle; the gold is matte
Why customers choose it
The diamond lattice is formal in the way an argyle sock or a tie pattern is: regular, fine and restrained. Gold diamonds warm the black without adding sparkle, which keeps it tasteful at a simcha. It sits between a plain black kippah and a bold print.

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
Is the gold metallic?
No. The gold diamonds are matte woven thread, a soft gold-tan rather than a shiny foil.
How big is the diamond pattern?
The lattice is small and regular, with many diamonds across each panel.
Is this a good wedding kippah?
Yes. The black base and restrained gold make it a dressy choice for simchas.
Which sizes does it come in?
Domes 1 to 6 plus 16cm, 18cm and 20cm flats.
How does it compare with the silver pixel kippah?
Silver pixel is a black-and-grey woven check with a cool tone. This one uses warm gold and cream in a diamond lattice.
