Description
Silver Pixel is a black and silver-grey micro-check kippah for men and boys, offered in 9 sizes at $9.99. The fabric is a textured black weave covered edge to edge in tiny light-grey squares set in a tight grid, so up close it looks like pixels and from a distance it blends into a dark charcoal. The rim uses the same fabric, and the surface has a slightly nubby, bouclé-like hand. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

Not the right choice if
- A school that requires plain black
- A smooth, shiny velvet look
- Summer wear in light colours
- A size 7 dome or a flat above 20 cm
Why customers choose it
This is a dark kippah for someone who notices fabric. The black and silver-grey squares are so small and so tightly packed that at conversation distance they merge into a textured charcoal, and only up close does the pixel grid appear. It pairs with black and grey suits without looking like a plain black kippah, and the nubby surface looks warm in cooler months.

Frequently asked questions
What does "pixel" refer to?
The pattern: a tight grid of tiny silver-grey squares on black, which looks like pixels on a screen when you look closely.
Does it look black or grey from a distance?
It reads as a dark, textured charcoal. The individual squares only show up close.
Silver Pixel or Smoke Squares?
Both are black with grey squares. Silver Pixel's squares are tiny and packed tightly; Smoke Squares has larger, more widely spaced dots.
Is the silver shiny?
No. It is a light grey yarn, not a metallic thread, so the finish is matte.
What are the size options?
Domes 1 to 6, plus 16, 18 and 20 cm flats.
