Prefilled Oil Cups for Chanukah Menorahs

Prefilled oil cups let you light an oil menorah without pouring oil or threading wicks. Each cup comes filled and wicked, so you set it in the menorah and light it. When it burns out, the spent cup lifts out and the menorah is ready for the next night.

How many cups do you need?

A box of 44 covers one menorah for all eight nights of Chanukah: 36 lights plus a shamash each night. If more than one person in your home lights, plan one box per menorah.

Size and burn time guide

Burn times below come from each product's own listing or box. A Chanukah light needs to burn at least half an hour after nightfall, and every option here is rated above that. Pick a longer burn if you light early or want the lights to last through the evening.

Will they fit my menorah?

  • Extra small and mini cups have a narrow diameter for small menorahs, travel menorahs and children's menorahs.
  • Medium is the size most standard menorah holders are built around, and a safe starting point if you are not sure.
  • Large, extra large and round cups suit the deeper cup wells on larger oil menorahs.
  • Measure the inside of your menorah's cup holder and compare it with the cup before you order. If your holders are too wide, the Pre Filled Oil Adapter, 9 Pack is listed for prefilled cups.
