Three hours per candle is the reason to take the large size. The menorah is still burning when the seudah is over and the guests are still around it, rather than guttering out while the plates are being cleared. If your lights are in a front window for people passing by, this is the box to buy.
They arrive pre-filled and ready to use — set one in each cup, light the wick, and there is nothing to pour or measure. The 44-piece count covers all eight nights including a shamash every night, so one box is the whole of Chanukah.
A travel kit comes free with the box: matches, a shamash candle, a brochos card, and nine rubber bases so the candles can be lit safely on a flat surface if you are away from home and without a menorah.
