Inspiring Lives

They dedicated their lives to serving Hashem, learning and teaching His Torah, and taking care of His People. In the space of only a few weeks, they were taken from us. Even in our mourning, we look to their lives for inspiration and comfort. Here are their lives, their stories, and the lessons they still teach us, as recounted in YATED NE'EMAN.

Rav Yitzchok Dov Koppelman zt'l: Seven decades of harbatzas Torah, tens of thousands of students - and the venerable Rosh Yeshivah remembered and loved every one of them.

Rav Michel Yehudah Lefkowitz zt'l: The Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Ponovezh L'tzeirim infused three generations and thousands of talmidim with the spark of his own extraordinary love for Torah learning.

Rav Chaim Stein zt'l: The Rosh Yeshiva of Telz connected us to generations of Lithuanian giants -- the ardor and joy of their learning - and their zeal to build a glorious Torah world.

Rav Elazar Abuchatzeira zt'l: Scion of a holy family stretching back generations, his shemiras ainayim - and his profound spiritual vision - were legendary.
