Description
Design #2024 is a modern lucite kearah with a gold accent, and at roughly 19 inches across it is built to be the centre of the Seder table rather than one plate among several. The scale is the first thing you notice. It holds the simanim with real space between them, so nothing is crowded and the zeroa is not sitting on top of the karpas.
Lucite with gold is a specific choice at a Seder, where most of what is on the table is silver, glass and white linen. The clear body means the cloth reads straight through it and the plate does not sit as a heavy block in the middle of everything; the gold gives it enough definition that it still looks like the centrepiece it is.
Tallis and tefillin bags are made in the #2024 design, which matters more at Pesach than it sounds — a family that already has the bag can put the matching kearah on the table and let the two speak to each other. It is also the piece that gets commented on, which is not nothing at a Seder that runs several hours.
