The shamash is supposed to stand apart from the eight, and on many menorahs the built-in shamash spot is either missing, crowded or too shallow to trust. This holder stands on its own next to the menorah and gives the shamash candle a place of its own.
It is self-standing, so nothing needs to be clipped, taped or balanced. The base carries the weight of the candle on its own footprint, which is the safer arrangement when the shamash is lit and relit each night and handled while burning.
This is the standard size, matched to regular shamash candles; the X-large version takes the oversized ones. Free shipping over $75 and 15-day returns from Judaica Square.
