Sixteen tealights set in clear plastic cups, each one rated at about ten hours of burn. That is the difference between lights that quit during the soup and lights that are still going when the table clears and the last guest picks up a bentcher.
The clear cup is the point. It does not fight with a silver leichter or a glass tray, it lets the flame read as a flame rather than a puck of wax, and it contains the melt so the tray underneath stays clean. When one is finished the cup lifts straight out.
Sixteen to a pack is a practical number: two Shabbosim of lights with spares, or a full set of lights for a simcha, a shul kiddush room, or a hospital-stay bag.
