6-Hour European Shabbos Candles, 30-Pack
European-made Shabbos candles in an extra white wax, thirty to a box. The six-hour burn is the useful number here: they are lit before shkiah and are still going through the seudah, so the table is not left dark halfway through the meal.
The reason people come back to these is the smoke, or rather the absence of it. A cheap candle leaves a grey haze over the tablecloth and a smell in the dining room by the time it burns out. These are made to burn clean through to the end.
Thirty candles covers roughly fifteen weeks for a two-candle lighting, or a shorter stretch for a family lighting for each child. If you go through more than that, the sixty-count box of the same candle is the better buy.
