Pale Ribbed Kippah, Mint Yarmulke

The Pale Mint Ribbed Kippah is a four-panel textured-weave yarmulke for men and boys, offered in 7 sizes at $9.99. The fabric is a very soft mint that leans toward a cool blue-grey in daylight, woven in tiny raised ribs that give the crown a fine grid texture instead of a flat sheen. The rim is cut from the same ribbed cloth and finished with a narrow turned edge, so the whole kippah reads as one quiet pastel colour. Four seams meet at the crown in a neat cross. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares

Best for

• Summer Shabbos with a light grey, stone or navy suit
• Weddings in the warm months where a pastel kippah matches the wedding colours
• Someone who wants colour without a print
• Brothers of different ages, since it runs from toddler size 1 to flat 18cm

Not the right choice if

• Your yeshiva or shul expects a black kippah
• You want a colour that shows from across the room; this mint is very muted
• You need a size 6 or a 20cm flat; the range stops at size 5 and 18cm
• You want a deep winter fabric such as wool or velvet

Why customers choose it

Most pastel kippot are flat linen or cotton, so the colour carries everything. Here the ribbed weave adds a second layer: in the hand the crown has a fine, even grid that catches light and hides small creases, and the matching rim keeps the look clean. The mint is soft enough to pass with grey, tan and navy tailoring, which is why it tends to be picked for summer smachos rather than as a statement piece.

Size guide

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.

Frequently asked questions

Is this kippah mint green or light blue?
It is a very pale mint. In daylight it reads close to a cool blue-grey, so expect a soft, muted tone rather than a bright green.

What does ribbed mean on this yarmulke?
The fabric is woven with tiny raised ribs that form a fine grid across each panel. You see texture up close; from a distance it looks like a solid pastel.

How does it compare to the Pink-a-Boo kippah?
Both are light, textured, solid-colour kippot with self-fabric rims. Pink-a-Boo uses a small diamond texture in pale pink; this one uses a rib texture in pale mint.

Which size should an adult order?
Size 5 fits most teens and adult men. If you prefer a flatter, wider kippah, the 18cm flat option is the adult choice in the flat range.

Will the pale colour show marks?
Light fabrics show smudges sooner than dark ones. Blot marks with a damp cloth rather than rubbing, and keep it in a pocket case rather than loose.
