Description
The Tire Marks Kippah is a taupe-gray yarmulke printed with black tread marks, offered in 8 sizes and priced at $9.99. Rows of rough black rectangles with dry-brush edges run in different directions on each panel, broken by white highlights, so the crown looks like tire tracks crossing wet pavement. Seen from above, the panels meet at angles that make the tracks appear to turn a corner. The rim is piped in the same printed fabric. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

Best for

- You prefer bright colours
- You need a 20cm flat
Why customers choose it
Most vehicle kippot show cartoon cars, which boys outgrow. Tire Marks keeps the theme but abstracts it into a bold black-and-gray graphic that could pass for a modern textile print. It suits teens and adults who still love cars, and the neutral colours go with most everyday clothes.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a car print?
It is an abstract print of black tire-tread blocks and skid marks, not pictures of cars. Car fans recognise it; others see a bold geometric pattern.
Is it suitable for an adult?
Yes. The gray and black palette is understated, and sizes run to 6 and an 18cm flat.
How does it compare to Windy Roads?
Windy Roads shows looping white roads and small cartoon vehicles on sage, aimed at younger boys. Tire Marks is darker and more grown-up.
What colour is the background?
A warm taupe gray, close to wet asphalt.
Which size for a twelve-year-old?
Most twelve-year-olds wear size 4 or 5. If he has a larger head, choose 5.
