Description
The large size in the lucite holder range, trimmed in silver, design number 227. It comes filled with five brown hardcover zemiros rather than paperbacks, which is the distinction worth paying attention to here. Hardcovers stand up on their own, do not curl at the corner after a few months, and look like books on the table rather than pamphlets.
The zemiros themselves run from candle lighting through Kiddush and the zemiros for Friday night and Shabbos day, and carry Seder Havdallah, Birchas Hamazon, Sheva Brachos and Al Hamichya, along with songs that are not tied to Shabbos at all. Choose Ashkenaz or Edut Mizrach when ordering so the benching matches what is said at your table. Five copies suits a family table with a couple of guests; if you regularly host ten, the smaller holders carrying ten paperbacks are the better arithmetic.
Design 227 also runs across other zemiros booklets in the Malchut range, so replacements and additions can be ordered in the same look. The holder keeps the benchers upright and together, which is really the problem it solves, since loose benchers migrate off the table and end up anywhere but where they are needed on Friday night.
