Pocket Tefillin Mirror in Brown Leather, 4 x 3.5 #1577

Design #1577 in brown leather, a personal mirror measuring 4" x 3.5". Pocket size in the literal sense — it is meant to sit in the pocket of a tefillin bag and stay there, not to be carried separately or unpacked each morning.

Anyone who has adjusted the shel rosh three times and still not been sure knows why this exists. A quick look confirms the bayis is centred and the knot has not drifted, and then it goes back in the bag. It is most valuable exactly where you would expect: away from home, in a hotel, at a simcha hall, in any shul where the nearest mirror is not near the seats.

Brown leather wears in rather than out. After a year of daily handling the surface darkens slightly at the edges where your fingers go, which is the point of buying a leather one rather than a plastic one that eventually cracks along the hinge.
