Description
The plain clear version, all transparent plastic front and back, which leaves the bag entirely visible from every side. If the bag is embroidered on the back as well as the front, or if it was made with a name or a design that you have no interest in covering, this is the one to take.
Five fits are cut: 9x8 for a tefillin bag, 10x10.5 for a bar mitzvah bag, 12x12 for a medium bag, 14x14 for a large talis bag and 16x16 for an extra large. Measure before ordering. A protector one size too big will not hold the bag snugly and will end up sliding off on the walk to shul.
It keeps velvet and embroidery clean for very little outlay, which is the entire argument for it. Many customers buy two at once, one for the tallis bag and one for the tefillin bag, and simply replace them when they scuff rather than nursing an old one along.
