Leather Shoulder Strap for Custom Tallis & Tefillin Bags

A leather shoulder strap made to be added to a custom Malchut bag at the time it is ordered. The strap is leather, not webbing, so it sits properly on a shoulder over a jacket and does not fray at the edges the way a fabric strap does after a couple of winters.

This is specified when the bag is being built rather than fitted afterwards, so decide before the order goes in. The reason to add one is simple: a full tallis bag with tefillin inside it is heavier than it looks, and carrying it by the handle for a real walk to shul is not comfortable. On the shoulder it disappears, and both hands stay free for a child, an umbrella or a sefer.

It is worth thinking about for a bochur who carries his bag between the dormitory and the beis medrash several times a day, for anyone walking a distance on Shabbos, and for a man who travels with his tallis and tefillin often enough that the bag needs to hang rather than be held.
