Description
Camel leather over the Haggadah HaMeforash, made in the thin cut and carrying design #1597. Camel sits between tan and a light brown, and it is the shade that shows the antique treatment most plainly, with the graining and the deeper tone along the edges readable from across a lit table. The thin profile matters here: the cover is built close to the slimmer volume rather than padded out to a standard case size.
A man who leans on the HaMeforash through maggid holds the sefer open for long stretches, and a cover that adds bulk fights him every time he shifts it. This one adds almost nothing. It comes one way, so there is no size to work out, and it does the ordinary job well: it takes the corner knocks and the spine wear that finish a haggadah off after a few years of two-night use.
Design #1597 is built to go with Pesach seder set #995, so the cover can be ordered alongside the set and read as one piece of a table rather than as a stray purchase. For most buyers that matching is the reason to move from a bare haggadah to a leather one at all.
