Fine brocade and crushed velvet worked together, with a decorative medallion laid across both — design #577 in the Distinctive Collection. The two fabrics are the point. Brocade carries the woven pattern and holds its shape; crushed velvet breaks the light unevenly; the medallion sits over the join between them.

Three sizes here, which is more than most numbers offer. The 30cm kids size comes with no insert pockets. The 40cm bucherim size includes one pocket insert. The 47cm men size includes three pocket inserts, one for each matzah, which is what a man leading the Seder from his own cover wants — the three stay separated and nothing has to be re-sorted by hand at Yachatz.

#577 is also made as a challah cover, a challah board and a siddur cover. Ordering the 47cm for the head of the table and a 30cm for a child under the same number is the common pattern, and the challah cover carries the brocade and velvet through the rest of the year.
