This custom siddur and Tehillim cover sets fur against leather. The combination is the reason to choose this over either material alone: leather gives a firm, structured panel and a clean edge, fur gives depth and softness, and the join between them is where the piece gets its character.
These are built to order in the design of your tallis and tefillin bags, which matters more with two materials than with one. Matching a single leather after the fact is difficult; matching a leather and a fur together later is not realistic. Order the covers with the bags and the question is settled at the outset.
