Description
Luster is the right word for #660: a design built on sheen, where the finish of the fabric does as much work as the pattern stitched into it. The same treatment runs on all four pieces, so the light coming off the matzah cover is the same light coming off the pillow case at the other end of the table.
It is sold as a complete four piece set — matzah cover, afikomen bag, pillow case and matching hand towel. That covers the whole night in order: the matzos stay covered through Kadesh and Maggid, the middle matzah goes into the afikomen bag after Yachatz, you lean on a pillow that belongs to the setting, and the towel is ready when it is time to wash.
A haggadah cover is made in the same #660 design. Put it in front of the ba'al haseder and the head of the table is finished properly, which is usually the one place a mismatched piece is most obvious.
