Description
The Luster Collection worked in linen, under design number #661. Linen changes the whole character of the collection — the surface is flatter and drier than velvet or satin, the pattern sits into the weave rather than on top of it, and the set looks calm on a table where the china and the silver are already doing a lot of talking.
Four pieces come together: the matzah cover, the afikomen bag, the pillow case and a matching hand towel. Practically, that is every fabric piece the Seder itself calls for. The cover stays down over the matzos through Maggid, the afikomen bag holds the middle matzah after Yachatz, the pillow case goes over your own leaning pillow, and the towel hangs for urchatz and rachtzah.
Linen sets also tend to be the ones people choose when the Pesach dishes are white or clear and anything heavily jeweled would fight with them. #661 is its own number in the Luster line, distinct from the collection's other designs.
