Description
Leather over the body, no fur and no contrast panel — 1865 is one of the two leather cases here offered in a large and a medium, and what separates it from its sibling number is the cut of the case rather than the material. It is a plain, serious-looking tube with nothing applied to it.
The large is 17.7 inches, the medium 14 inches, and the personalized snap-on handle comes with either. The handle clips on and off, which is the detail worth knowing before Purim night: a case you can put down and pick up by a handle is easier to manage in a crowded shul than one you have to carry cradled the whole time.
A matching lulav holder is made in 1865, which is the pairing to consider if you already keep your lulav in something and are replacing both. Two pieces in one leather is easier to justify than two unrelated ones.
