Description
The same #501 pattern, this time on white leather. White changes the character of the design completely: the gold and light gold embroidery reads far more strongly against a pale ground than it does against brown, and the whole piece becomes the bright object in the room instead of a quiet base for the menorah to stand on.
It is a fitted cover, cut to the table it comes with rather than thrown over whatever is available, and that table ships with it. Fitting matters on a menorah table specifically — loose fabric near lit wicks is a nuisance at best, and a cover that stays taut across the surface is one less thing to think about while eight menorahs are burning down.
White leather also wipes clean, which is the argument for it over a white cloth. Oil that drips off a menorah on the fourth night comes off leather and does not come out of fabric. The #501 number carries into the atarah line as well, if you like one design running through the house.
