Description
Design #503 on fitted black leather, embroidered in gold and light gold. The two gold tones are the thing to look at here: the lighter thread sits inside and alongside the darker one, so the pattern carries shading rather than reading as a single outline, and that effect is more pronounced against black than against any other ground in the range.
It is cut to fit, and the menorah table comes with it, so the cover is not approximating the dimensions of something you already own. That matters on Chanukah more than at any other point in the year, because the surface is holding open flames for eight consecutive nights and a cover that shifts underfoot is a genuine nuisance.
Black leather is the practical choice for a household lighting with oil. Spills happen at the point of filling rather than at lighting, and they wipe off a dark leather surface without leaving the shadow they leave on white. If you prefer a cooler finish, the same #503 pattern is made with silver embroidery instead.
