Description
Keshiras Sefardi tied by machine — meyuchad — on a plain cotton beged with a single hole at each corner. The machine tie is consistent from corner to corner and from beged to beged, and it keeps the price of a Sefardi-tied pair down to something you can order several of at once rather than one at a time.
Round neck or slit neck, your choice, in sizes 18 through 28. The round neck is the closer-fitting opening and stays hidden under a shirt; the slit neck is easier to get on and off and sits open at the chest. Neither affects the tying — the difference is only how the beged goes over your head in the morning.
100% cotton is the fabric for a garment worn against the skin from before shacharis until bedtime. It does not scratch the way wool can, it comes through a hot summer better than a synthetic, and it takes a wash without special handling. For a man building up a rotation, or for a bochur who has just moved into adult sizes and needs four of something, this is the sensible pair to buy.
