Description
100% wool, round neck, with the slanted two-hole corner that keshiras Chabad is tied on. Wool and Chabad together is a particular request and not every beged is cut for it — the slant at each corner sets the angle for the tying, and it is built into the beged rather than something that can be added afterward.
Sizes 18 through 28, with thin avodas yad hand-tied or ordered bli. Thin avodas yad is the string this beged is usually bought with. Bli sends it with the corners finished and empty, which is how a good number of men order it so the tying is done by someone specific.
Wool is warm, it hangs properly on the shoulders, and it is what a man buys when the beged is meant to last years rather than a season. The round neck is the closer opening: it pulls on over the head and stays hidden under a collar. Between the wool, the slanted corners and the hand-tied option, this is the serious version of the Chabad beged rather than the everyday cotton one.
