Yom Kippur Candle, Yellow
Natural yellow beeswax, approximately 14 inches tall, made to burn for one full day. This is the colour most people picture for Yom Kippur — unbleached wax left the shade it comes out of the hive, lit before the fast and left to go out on its own.
The 14-inch height suits a home table or a shul window ledge, and a standard heavy candlestick will hold it; the taller 25-inch version needs the dedicated metal stand instead. Beeswax burns slowly and evenly with very little smoke.
