Description
Embroidered to order in the Malchut house style, #2057 puts its whole effect into the worked face. There is no fur band, no velvet inset and no contrast panel to distract from the stitching, which is why designs like this one tend to look the same in a decade as they do on the first Shabbos.
The three sizes run from the bar mitzvah bag at 10.5 by 10 inches through the large talis bag at 14 by 14 to the extra large at 16 by 16. If the bag is for a bochur receiving his tefillin, the smallest cut is proportioned to him. If it is for a man carrying a full tallis, start at the 14 by 14 and go up only if the tallis is genuinely oversized.
Since the embroidery is worked after the size is chosen, the pattern lands correctly on whichever panel you order and does not need to be scaled to fit.
